Ciao a tutti… Ho un problema-rebus irrisolvibile…
Nessun plugin di cache funziona correttamente sul mio sito WordPress, ne ho provati una decina. Ogni volta che pubblico un articolo la cache si cancella del tutto nonostante abbia disattivato ogni opzione di cancellazione. Il mio hoster ha fatto dei test approfonditi nella configurazione del mio VPS managed, abbiamo cambiato versione PHP, cambiato PHP handler, ma mi dice che il problema non è là¬.
Abbiamo disattivato tutti i plugin tranne quello della cache, risolvendo nulla. Dov’è il problema? Plugin testati:

e altri.

Quando pubblichi un post è normale che molti elementi delal cache vengano cancellati es la homepage ovviamente deve mostrare il nuovo articolo, cosଠcome le pagine di categoria etc… ogni plugin usa metodi diversi quindi se accade con tutti o non configuri correttamente i plugin o c’è qualche altro inghippo che direi non è impoutabile a WP direi di sceglire un plugin ins tallarlo e utilizzare il supporto diretto degli autori per risolvere il problema.

Purtroppo ho provato 10 plugin, compresi quelli con opzioni che permettono di non cancellare mai la cache. Gli autori dei plugin ormai non esistono più sui forum di supporto, si è già fortunati se aiutano quando si acquista la versione Pro… Ma comunque non è un problema di un singolo plugin…. L’hoster dice che non è il server, e io a questo punto non ci capisco più nulla…

Innanzi tutto spiega come fai ad affermare che la cache si cancella del tutto, da cosa lo vedi? E poi quale cache? Fatta da cosa?
I plugin di cache servono per fare cache, non viceversa, e non è chiaro se hai cominciato a installare plugin di cache per formare appunto la cache del sito – o se avevi un problema già prima e hai cercato di risolverlo con qualche plugin pensando che facesse al caso tuo, è importante capire questa semplice ma non banale premessa… se parti dalla fine noi non possiamo immaginare l’idea iniziale.
Inoltre se hai installato diversi plugin di cache e poi li hai disinstallati non correttamente (non basta cancellarli in automatismo), ora sei pieno di cartelle e file orfani e non ho idea di come possa essere il tuo .htaccess, e inoltre non hai fornito né URL del sito né altre informazioni utili che chiediamo nel box qui sotto.
In genere la cache si forma o con un plugin o sul server, WordPress di suo non ha cache a parte l’object caching.

Hai pienamente ragione avevo timore di tediarvi con un post enorme, perdonami Titti! Allora, sperando che abbia ancora voglia di aiutare un povero disperato, andiamo per gradi:
Rispondendo alla tua domanda come faccio a vedere la cache cancellata, i plugin hanno una apposita sezione che ne mostra le dimensioni. àˆ lଠche vedo che la cache scende a pochi kb da decine di MB, per alcuni dopo poco tempo dalla creazione, per altri alla pubblicazione dei post! Imoltre controllo anche le dimensioni della cartella cache nell’FTP di Plesk. Cache database, cache in PHP su SSD e cache mod rewrite tutte provate, stessa roba.
La cache l’ho messa con i plugin per migliorare le prestazioni, non per problemi cercati di risolvere. Non stiamo parlando di cache server side, ma di plugin (che formano cache di articoli, categorie, tag, tutto). Il file .htaccess è stato ripristinato alla disinstallazione dei plugin, non è quindi incasinato.
Rispondendo alle informazioni richieste nel box:
– WordPress 4.7.2, ma anche con la versione precedente stesso problema. Non so dirti quando di preciso si è verificato il problema, l’ho scoperto da poco, quando ho notato il calo di prestazioni nel caricamento. Fatto sta che da una settimana è irrisolvibile.
– Hosting VPS managed datacenter Germania by Hetzner. PHP 7.0, FPM, opcache (provato PHP 5.6 con FPM e FastCGI, niente di risolto)
– centOS Linux

Appunto la pubblicazione di un post cancella la cache diella home page della pagine di categoria diei tags colllegati dellae eventuali pagine di dat ecc ecc… in ogni caso il fatto che cancelli la cache tutta e con tutti i plugin nello stesso identico modo direi che è anomalo ma non dipende certo da WP ne credo dai plugin a se stanti visto che molti sono usati di centianai di migliaia di siti. SOlo una anlisi del server accesso alla shell dello stesso analisi attenta di tutto fatta da un professionista potrebbe determinare quale sia il problema e l’eventuale soluzione. QUeste sono cose che diagnosticare tramite poche info testuali è impossibile, ne ovvimaente noi possiamo fornire assistenza personale gratuita. Nel caso puoi cusare il form di contatto e richiedere un intervento professionale.

Sଠla cosa va vista da vicino, poi adesso pare che tu non abbia nessun plugin di cache attivo quindi anche l’ipotesi di esaminare come si comporta un determinato plugin non si può fare.
La durata e l’utilizzo della cache dipende dalla configurazione del plugin, dal login, da quanto il sito è frequentato, da quanto è aggiornato (ho visto ad es. che in un giorno pubblichi più di un articolo)… quindi il tuo potrebbe essere un non-problema, inoltre ad un primo approccio non sembri avere problemi di prestazioni, hai soprattutto bisogno di un plugin che sfrutti il caching del browser e ti faccia la compressione gzip.

Avrei già richiesto da molto un intervento a pagamento, il problema è che l’hoster essendo il servizio managed non fa accedere alla root, quindi sono di fronte a un muro.
Per rispondere, certo che è attivo un plugin di cache attualmente, è Cache Enabler, e questo a differenza di altri cancella la cache “ogni 3-4 articoli pubblicati” e non a ogni articolo.
Il plugin è configurato per non cancellare mai la cache, le visite sono circa 5.000 al giorno, pubblichiamo una decina di articoli al giorno o poco più. Comunque avete visto quel widget Ultime news sulla testata? Secondo voi può essere l’aggiornamento di quello che triggera la cancellazione della cache oppure sto dicendo cappellate?

àˆ un bene che la cache sia frequentemente cancellata se è su disco, e per quanto riguarda il dubbio che hai puoi provare a togliere il widget.
Rimane che il plugin di cache gratuito migliore attualmente sia ancora W3 Total Cache se si configura correttamente, cosa che difficilmente si fa in un giorno a meno che non si sia esperti.
I plugin che citi sono tutti inferiori oppure di principio non sono programmati per una cache totale o per prestazioni extra-cache, e quell’opzione “mai” è un po’ sospetta, o perlomeno relativa. Super Cache ha avuto e ha dei problemi cancellando l’intera cache ogni minimo aggiornamento, quello che stai usando ora ha un topic nel supporto su questo argomento – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cache-clears-after-an-order-is-deleted/, e comunque serve solo per generare file HTML, idem Fastest Cache.

Grazie mille Titti. Nel frattempo ho fatto un’analisi più approfondita e ho scoperto che la cache si cancella quando i post vengono programmati (anche se non so se è sempre cosà¬). Magari può essere d’aiuto.
In quanto a W3 Total Cache vorrei seguire il tuo consiglio, conosci un tutorial fatto bene per configurarlo alla perfezione (per quanto un tutorial possa essere preciso su queste cose)? Sono già abbastanza pratico di cache ma una guida per non sbagliare sarebbe molto d’aiuto

Di tutorial per W3TC ce ne sono diversi, ma nessuno te lo farà mai configurare alla perfezione. Non tutte le installazioni sono uguali, occorrono prove e tempo per vedere come si comporta il plugin, e inoltre le guide sono tutte un po’ datate. Detto questo, leggerne qualcuna male non fa, anzi (o cercare singolarmente opzioni che non si comprendono, ancora meglio), pur di non seguire in dettaglio ogni suggerimento, ma piuttosto provare le impostazioni dubbie sulla propria installazione, una alla volta. In ogni caso leggi le guide più recenti perché qualche mese fa il plugin ha subito un grosso aggiornamento che, pur non avendo stravolto molto le opzioni da configurare, lo ha fatto diventare più aggressivo. Specie se hai molti script JS e CSS (come ho visto che hai), dovrai porre molta attenzione alla minimizzazione.
