Ciao a tutti,
ho installato due giorni fa per la prima volta WordPress su uno spazio Linux su Aruba dotato di db MySQL, e con una certa fatica ho creato le prime pagine del sito che si raggiungeva (ahimè!) come http://www.giselaboschi.com/wp.
Oggi pomeriggio, seguendo un suggerimento trovato in rete, ho accorciato le URL Indirizzo WordPress e Indirizzo Sito come: http://www.giselaboschi.com, aspettandomi (ingenuamente) di risolvere cosଠil problema della URL che terminava con /wp.
Ovviamente ho perso la raggiungibilità della pagina; ho cercato (invano) tramite “File Manager” del dominio se per caso ci fosse un file modificato al momento del mio ultimo “Salva le modifiche” ma non ho trovato nulla, e ora temo che l’incauto aggiornamento sia finito nel db .
Qualcuno avrebbe cortesemente tempo di darmi qualche indicazione per recuperare il sito?
La versione di WordPress installata sul server è la 4.3; il tema in uso è Tesseract (https://s3.amazonaws.com/tylers/TESSERACT.zip)

Dove sono tutti i files WordPress? Se vuoi puntare direttamente al sito, senza aggiungere /wp, i files devono stare direttamente sulla root.
Io partirei semplicemente da là¬!

Ringrazio Robsteven per il suggerimento, se fossi partito installando sulla root non mi sarei trovato in questo impiccio! Tuttavia adesso ho imparato qualcosa di nuovo!
Il preblema credo sia risolto in modo radicale. Ho seguito le istruzioni (http://www.wpitaly.it/2008/05/12/mamma-ho-perso-il-sito-no-problem/) che mi ha indicato Titti, che ringrazio moltissimo.
Riporto il percorso seguito, potrebbe chissà essere utile ad altri inesperti come me.
1) inserendo in wp-config.php le righe seguenti:
define(‘WP_SITEURL’, ‘/wp’);
define(‘WP_HOME’, ‘/wp’);
Il problema è risolto, ma ovviamente non alla radice. Infatti nell’interfaccia di WordPress, Impostazioni Generali, i dati Indirizzo WordPress e Indirizzo sito ora non sono modificabili (oltre a non essere riportate le URL complete ma la sola correzione /wp).
2) Aruba consente (ho scoperto) di visualizzare facilmente record e tabelle dei db mysql. Allora mi sono fatto coraggio, ho cancellato le modifiche a wp_config.php di cui sopra, sono entrato nel db, ho trovato una tabella dal nome significativo “bya_options” e all’interno due record “siteurl” e “home” che riportavano le url errate che avevo inserito ieri dall’interfaccia di WordPress; ho corretto i due record, salvato… et voilà , tutto ripristinato!!
