Gentilissimi,
dopo un problema con un plugin per cui ho chiesto informazioni al supporto online (che mi ha consigliato di installare una versione specifica che la dashboard dei plugin di WP non mi forniva), mi ritrovo con il seguente problema: l’ho caricato tramite filezilla nella cartella dei plugin, ma quando entro nella dashboard non vedo il plugin, né tra gli attivi né tra i disattivati.
Devo fare qualcos’altro per attivarlo?

Ti sei dimenticato di dire di quale plugin stai parlando, o l’hai fatto apposta per rendere tutto più complicato?
E hai pure sbagliato sezione. (Spostato in > Plugin e temi di WP.)

Pensavo non fosse rilevante, visto che ho già sentito lo sviluppatore, come chiedete sempre prima di postare qui.
Il plugin si chiama Gspeech. Fammi sapere se devo riscrivere dall’altra parte.

Ovvio che sapere il nome di cosa si sta parlando è necessario, il link diretto invece sarebbe la cortesia richiesta.
Comunque, dal test il plugin s’installa e appare nella lista correttamente. Se stai però parlando di una versione beta non ancora accessibile pubblicamente, occorre mettere il link che ti hanno fornito se desideri che qualcuno di noi provi ad installarlo. Vista la scarsezza di informazioni richieste, la mancanza delle prove, ecc. – e in ogni caso – ti conviene continuare a contattare l’autore.

Banalmenyte potrebbe essere che la dir della cartella del plugin caricata via FTP non ha i permessi corretti e quindi non leggibile da WP ripristinare i permessi del sito se ppossibile tramite il pannello di admin dello spazio web è la prima prova.

Grazie Steve. Quindi è sufficiente che tramite Filezilla, selezionando col tasto destro la cartella del plugin, io trovi 755 nei permessi del file e le solite voci flaggate vero? Oppure devo andare a controllare tutte le sottocartelle?

Niente da fare. Secondo me è il plugin che non funziona proprio con l’ultima versione. Peccato, perché è un ottimo lettore gratuito di sintesi vocale.

devi chiedere al tuo provider quali permessi dare a file e cartelle… ma di solito c’è una opzione nel pannello di gestione dello spazio web che ripristin ricorsivamente tutti i permessi correttamente.

Grazie Steve, ma i permessi penso siano proprio gli stessi degli altri plugin: il plugin funzionava con la versione precedente di WP (fino alla 4.2.4). Con la 4.3 non va proprio.
Adesso evo rimettere in piedi un dominio che non è aggiornato al 4.3 e provo a installarlo là¬. Vediamo come va. Le ho provate tutte, penso sia un problema degli sviluppatori. Sentiamo che dicono (quando avranno tempo di rispondere).
