Ciao a tutti,
utilizzo WP versione 4.2.2 su di un hosting linux per il quale possiedo un accesso ftp.
Da quando ho aggiornato alla versione 4.2.2 ho notato, e purtroppo non solo io, che i tempi di caricamento dei pannelli backend di amministrazione si sono davvero rallentati.
Il server è dedicato e ci sono sopra altre istallazioni di WP 4.2.2 che viaggiano egregiamente.
Qualcuno di voi sa se è possibile velocizzare questi tempi, magari utilizzando un plugin di WordPress, che lavori sulla cache o che riesca a ridurre i tempi?

Non c’è una causa univoca, e di conseguenza non c’è un rimedio univoco. Bisogna conoscere e avere accesso all’installazione e fare diverse prove (ci sono diversi plugin per questo tipo di test), vedere quali script rallentano il caricamento, e altro.
Un plugin di cache puoi sempre installarlo, se già non ce l’hai.

Per il test c’è un plugin di GoDaddy di cui però non ricordo il nome.
Per la cache puoi installare WordFence (che è un firewall oltre ad un gestore di cache), ha due impostazioni diverse da provare.

Ottimizzazioni cache nel backend non hanno molto senso e non credo nemmeno esista qualcosa, nel backend ci lavori.
Per il test c’è un plugin di GoDaddy di cui però non ricordo il nome.

Per i più esperti c’è questo monitor di richieste HTTP, uso di memoria, AJAX, queries lente e altro, individuando anche se necessiti di più RAM sul server.
Per diminuire o regolare le continue richieste del core attraverso /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php nell’eseguire le chiamate AJAX del browser invece può essere utile questo.
Comunque in generale sono i plugin a rallentare il sito, devi quindi controllare come questi (e il tema) interagiscono con l’admin. Meno ne hai e meno invasivi sono e meglio è: una revisione di quelli che hai attualmente è necessaria.
I plugin di cache – come W3 Totale Cache – sono utili per ottimizzare il caricamento del sito lato frontend, ma possono causare rallentamenti (soprattutto nel backend ma anche nel frontend) se non ben configurati.
