Ciao a tutti/e, oggi ho installato il plugin Acunetix WP Security e mi segnala l’assenza del file “.htaccess” nella directory “wp-admin” ed i prefissi del database lasciati di default wp_
Fino ad ora ho sempre tenuto il file .htaccess nella directory principale del sito /home. E’ grave come cosa? O devo creare due file .htaccess?
Sui prefissi qual è il vostro pensiero, in rete ne ho lette di cotte e di crude, chi dice sia meglio farlo, chi dice sia inutile. Cosa ne pensate?

Per rendere sicuro wordpress basta seguire questa guida , per il plugin in questione leggi o poni direttamente le domande al forum di supporto.
Ha una bassa valutazione da parte degli utenti il che significa che non sia il massimo e questo genere di plugin spesso causano più danni che benefici.

E quando non causano danni sono inutili. Tutti i plugin di quel tipo ti avvertono di mettere una copia di .htaccess in wp-admin e di cambiare i prefissi wp, perché non hanno poi tante altre cose da poter fare/dire, aldilà di una scansione dei permessi o altre piccole cose. Nel primo caso, chi ha la buona attitudine di aggiornare wordpress manualmente cancellando i file, dovrà ricordarsi tutte le volte la modifica e la seconda cosa, comunque, è meglio non farla fare al plugin, quindi la puoi fare a mano indipendentemente dal plugin.

Ciao, vi ringrazio per la risposta. Io stesso mi sono accorto di come questi plugin alla fine bene o male facciano le stesse poche cose. Lo avevo installato perchè ai tempi mi era stato consigliato qui sul forum insieme ad antivirus e login lockdown, lo trovavo utile per le opzioni di mascheramento versioni ecc che comunque immagino si possano fare anche manualmente.
Ho notato che ora ha una schermata livetraffic dove posso monitorare chi guarda cosa ( e vedo tanti “curiosi” nella schermata login). Vi è un modo per monitorare il sito manualmente? Voi come fate di solito?
Da quanto ho capito devo quindi mettere una copia del mio file .htaccess in wp-admin?
Chiedo venia anche se vi chiedo una cosa riguardante i permessi:
.htaccess (home/.htaccess) 0755 -> 0644
readme.html (home/readme.html) 0755 -> 0400
wp-admin/index.php (home/wp-admin/index.php) 0755 -> 0644
I 0755 sono i permessi attuali, gli altri quelli consigliati. Ascolto il plug in o continuo per la mia strada?

Sଠuna copia, e sଠi permessi a 0644 per i file, il readme puoi anche toglierlo se vuoi.
