Ciao a tutti,
per la sicurezza di alcuni miei siti realizzati in WordPress, ho optato per l’installazione di questo plugin, WP-DBManager, davvero ottimo, soprattutto per le funzionalità , l’invio schedulato delle mail con il back up del DB, la riparazione e l’ottimizzazione del DB.
Il plugin su alcuni siti funziona benissimo, ogni 24 h invia alla casella mail 1 mail con allegato il back up, mentre per altri siti ogni 24 h il plugin invia decine e decine di mail con allegato il back up del BD.
Analizzando tali mail si può notare però che il nome del file varia da mail a mail e varia anche l’orario di invio.
Qualcuno sa darmi una spiegazione a tutto questo? In alternativa sapreste dirmi dove potrei andare a verificare l’errore?
Ps: ho anche fatto una prova, disattivare tutti i plugin del sito incriminato, eccetto WP-DBManager, il risultato è sempre lo stesso, centinaia di mail ogni 24 h.

Nel supporto un utente avwevo lo stesso problema, ma non gli è stata data alcuna risposta, per quello ho aperto un post qui sul forum.
Con il debugging, avevo già provato, ma non ho avuto alcuna risposta. Quella paginaa l’avevo già vista e fatto le prove del caso.

àˆ un problema troppo specifico, chi meglio dell’autore del plugin può saperlo.
Forse l’unica cosa che puoi appurare è a livello di server, dato che su alcuni siti funziona su altri no. Chiedi quindi al provider o all’amministratore di sistema di fare gli opportuni controlli di configurazione.

La cosa più probabile è che lo script del plugin venga killato, lato server, mentre fa il dump del database; motivo troppi processi di PHP o poca memoria a disposizione. Subito dopo parte comunque il comando che invia il file del backup anche se non completato.. E, contemporaneamente, il plugin vede che non aveva finito il backup e rilancia un nuovo dump.. e si ripete la stessa cosa sino a quando riuscirà a completare il suo lavoro. Bel plugin!
Generalmente si risolve aumentando la memoria di PHP, limitando gli script o seguendo queste istruzioni:
