Ciao a tutti,
sto lavorando da poco su un mio server e volendo usare questo server x 3 miei siti (site1.it,site2.com e site3.com) con un’unica installzione di wp. Sto cercando di capire come posso configurare wp per far in mdoo che ogni sito abbia una wp-content separata dalle altre ma un’unico wp-admin
mi sembra di capire che in multisite possa farlo, ma dopo aver abilitato il network non riesco a proseguire…avete idee sul come fare?
Quando di WordPress si afferma esso sia un CMS multisito attivando il NetWork, non va interpretato come multi dominio. WordPress non supporta la possibilità di puntarci domini diversi. Esiste questa possibilità con una versione di WordPress modificata; in pratica un plugin e delle modifiche al core. Ma si sconsiglia il suo utilizzo perché oggi c’è e domani chissà ; nel senso che è sviluppata da un solo programmatore che prima o poi potrebbe abbandonare il progetto.
L’unica è quindi installare un WP per ogni dominio. Esiste poi un plugin (a pagamento) di Vladimir Prelovac, per gestire più CMS WordPress da un’unica interfaccia.

il tool creato da Prelovac è ManageWP. L’ho usato per i miei siti durante il beta test, a mio avviso il rapporto costi/benefici è molto vantaggioso visto il tempo che fa risparmiare. Ho scritto le mie impressioni nell’articolo ManageWP: gestire molti siti WordPress da un’unica dashboard.
Per gestire domini multipli da un’installazione network di WordPress il plugin è WordPress MU Domain Mapping.
