Ciao a tutti,
da qualche ora mi sono reso conto di un problema che riguarda il mio blog, ma che probabilmente si è manifestato originariamente ieri sera. Cerco di andare con ordine (mi scuso per la lunghezza).
L’indirizzo del mio blog è http://www.signorponza.com, aggiornato alla versione 3.3.1; l’host è Tophost.
Mi sono reso conto del problema quando questa stasera (20/01) volevo inserire un nuovo post. Nel momento di passare a programmare la pubblicazione, mi sono reso conto che nel riquadro in alto a destra non comparivano le solite opzioni, ma solamente i tasti “salva come bozza”, “anteprima” e “invia per la revisione”. Ho cliccato su “salva bozza” e sono stato ridirezionato a una pagina che diceva più o meno “sei sicuro di quello che stai per fare?”. Una volta cliccato “ok” (o comunque l’unica opzione possibile) sono tornato al pannello di amministrazione degli articoli e il post che avevo scritto era sparito. Ripensandoci, mentre scrivevo il post non sono riuscito nemmeno a caricare l’immagine che dovevo inserire e, per questo motivo, ho dovuto ricorrere all’inserimento dell’url del sito in cui era originariamente ospitata l’immagine.
A quel punto ho realizzato che l’ultimo commento inserito risaliva a ieri sera (19/01) alle 21.16 e mi pareva strano infatti che non fossero arrivati altri commenti per tutto il giorno. Cosଠho provato ad inserire un commento (chiedendo anche ad altri di provare a fare lo stesso), ma ancora adesso non risulta possibile. Dopo aver schiacciato il tasto “invia commento” non succede nulla di particolare, nel senso che la pagina carica e riporta ala pagina del post senza che il commento compaia.
Da ieri pomeriggio (prima dell’inserimento dell’ultimo commento) fino a stasera quando ho provato ad inserire il nuovo post, non ho apportato alcuna modifica al blog. Ho provato a disattivare tutti i plugin e tornare al tema originario, operazioni che mi sono state possibili, ma che non hanno portato nessun cambiamento della situazione. Una volta riattivati i plugin, però, Jetpack non riesce a connettersi al mio account di wordpress.com e dice: “Your Jetpack has a glitch. Something went wrong that’s never supposed to happen. Guess you’re just lucky: verify_secrets_missing Try connecting again. Error Details: The Jetpack server encountered the following client error: Verification took too long”.
Non so quanto possa essere utile come informazione, ma credo che nel corso della giornata siano però arrivati alcuni commenti di spam, correttamente segnalati da akismet e da me cancellati.
Queste sono le cose principali che mi vengono in mente. Spero che qualcuno possa aiutarmi a risolvere questo problema perché non ho veramente la minima idea di quale possa essere la causa.

TopHost fornisce un servizio economico e dunque la qualità è quella che è, già normalmente infatti il limite di richieste al database e di 1000/ora (se non sbaglio). Ora tu dici di non aver toccato nulla e che dall’ultimo commento di ieri a stasera che hai provato a postare un nuovo articolo l’unica cosa che è successa sono i commenti di spam.
A mio parere l’eccessivo numero di tentativi di postare commenti di spam hanno fatto superare il limite di richieste al tuo database ed è stato impedito di inoltrare ulteriori richieste, penso che ti convenga entrare nel tuo pannello di tophost e vedere se trovi qualche avviso, altrimenti contatta l’assistenza e sicuramente ti sapranno dire se (come penso) è quasto il problema

Ti ringrazio per la risposta, provo subito a contattare l’assistenza perché nel pannello di tophost non c’era nessun avviso.
Il problema quindi potrebbe essere stato originato anche da un sostanziale aumento del traffico rispetto alla media?

aumenta lo spazio nel database, non ci sono limiti alle richieste, semplicemente hai messo poco spazio al dataabse.

Dopo aver aumentato lo spazio del database controllerei anche quante revisioni contiene visto mai, come spesso accade, siano migliaia e occupino spazio utile.
Alle volte può anche succedere che scade l’abbonamento al servizio e ci si dimentica di rinnovarlo.

Ho fatto questo tentativo ieri sera, pensando subito che potesse essere la causa. Ma non ho notato miglioramenti, nonostante il significativo incremento di spazio per il DB. Ho comunque contattato anche il supporto di Tophost e, stando al tecnico, il problema potrebbe comunque essere legato a questo aspetto.

L’aumento dello spazio non è immediato e non avviene all’istante appena s’è impartito, come non è immediato il “recupero” dello spazio cancellando le revisioni. Dovrai attendere diverse ore.

Grazie, non lo sapevo in effetti. Ho ottenuto anche la stessa risposta dal supporto tecnico quindi nella giornata di domani dovrebbe essere tutto a posto. Grazie ancora per l’aiuto!
