Ciao ragazzi, ho un problema con un mio blog per il quale uso WP come piattaforma, e come template il theme Blogum.
Mi spiego meglio:
-aggiungo due semplici pagine attraverso il pannello di amministrazione di WP stesso
-una di queste la imposto come pagina principale, la seconda come “child” della prima
Fin qui tutto bene, ma quando passo il cursore sul menu non mi mostra il menu a discesa (drop down menu).
Quale pensate sia il problema?
Quali le modifiche da effettuare ai file php o css del tema?
Il sito è ahiuto.altervista.org; è ancora scarno perchè lo sto costruendo pezzo per pezzo in locale.

Perché fare modifiche, non puoi usare il menu personalizzato di WP? Il tuo tema lo supporta.

Sei sicuro di aver inserito le due pagine tramite il tool di creazione dei menù? inserendoli ad albero uno sotto l’altro?

Intanto potresti iniziare col dargli nome “Padre” e “Figlio” alle due pagine, cosଠci capiamo qualcosa perché sul tuo sito vedo solo un [4] ed a che non sono molto esplicativi

Fatto!…ho inoltre ripristinato anche proprio il tema originale senza cambiargli una virgola!

Ho scaricato il tema e controllato il codice, non c’è il dropdown menu, se nella demo che hai linkato c’è sarà perché l’hanno aggiunto, ma nel tema scaricato dal sito ufficiale del produttore non c’è. comunque puoi facilmente aggiungerlo con questo plugin Dropdown Menu Widget

Ho installato il plugin che mi hai consigliato, l’ho settato e ho anche seguito la guida del sito del produttore..però c’è un problema…quando io entro nella sezione Widget del pannello di amministrazione a differenza di quello che il produttore mostra nel video, io ho solo il sottopannello Sidebar al quale aggiungere il mio menu, non ho, come nel video, gli altri sottopannelli Header Top, Header Bottom, dove aggiungere widget…c’è una soluzione anche a questo?…o un’altra strada da percorrere?

devi inserire il codice

nel file header.php al posto di quello che usa il tema per visualizzare il menu, ovvero<?php wp_nav_menu(array('menu' => 'Header', 'theme_location' => 'Header', 'depth' => 1, 'container_class' => 'menu')); ?>

Ti ringrazio infinitamente…purtroppo però il problema resta, nel senso che si adesso ho il menu però essendo un neofita non riesco a ridimensionare il contenitore del menu stesso cosଠora occupa l’intera schermata e mi scombina il tema:(…non vorrei romperti ulteriormente le scatole…ma sapresti aiutarmi?…ti ringrazio davvero

Basta che aggiungi al file style.css del tuo tema questo codice
.shailan-dropdown-menu {width:610px;}
dove 610 è la larghezza ovviamente regola come vuoi ma credo che vada bene cosà¬

Innanzitutto Dudy_wp: GRAZIE! per la pazienza e perchè sei stato l’unico a trovare una soluzione al problema…purtroppo devo però nuovamente importunarti…quando infatti ho sostituito a questa stringa:
<?php wp_nav_menu(array(‘menu’ => ‘Header’, ‘theme_location’ => ‘Header’, ‘depth’ => 1, ‘container_class’ => ‘menu’)); ?>
quella per attivare il nuovo menu ovvero:
<?php shailan_dropdown_menu(); ?>
è comparsa una linea grigia sotto l’h1, cioè sotto il titolo del blog…mi sembra un semplice border da 1px come ce ne sono tanti nel template però sto impazzendo perchè non riesco ad eliminarlo…prima non c’era:(
(domanda meno urgente)
Inoltre vorrei chiederti: se volessi impostare tutta la visualizzazione del tema dal file style.css sono queste le stringhe da usare?

Hai ragione, è proprio un border da 1px, più precisamente è quello della classe widget. Infatti il plugin nasce per creare menù sotto forma di widget e perciò li crea cosà¬, ora il tema che usi porta questo bordo sulle widget, quindi…
soluzione 1: elimini il bordo a tutte le widget, eliminandolo nel file style.css alla regola .widget {
soluzione 2: dopo il codice per visualizzare il menù, inserisci questo codice
<script type="text/javascript">jQuery('div.shailan-dropdown-menu-widget').attr('class', 'shailan-dropdown-menu-widget');</script>
che in pratica elimina dal menù il riferimento alla regola css dei widget e di conseguenza elimina il bordo al menù ma non alle altre widget.soluzione 3: Lo tieni cosଠcom’è che non sta poi cosଠmale
domanda meno urgente… se ti riferisci al solo menù si, per modificare tutto il tema devi mettere mano alle altre regole che trovi nel file style.css

Dudy_wp tutto perfetto…inserendo la stringa del secondo metodo il bordo grigio va via finalmente…ti chiedo un’altra cosa velocissima…è possibile ora avvicinare le voci del menu in questione?…diminuire la distanza tra loro?
Se si come? Perchè ho provato ma senza risultati!

nel file http://ahiuto.altervista.org/wp-content/plugins/dropdown-menu-widget/css/shailan-dropdown.css
alla riga 18 ul.dropdown li a{ padding: .3em .8em; } sostituisci con ul.dropdown li a{ padding: 0.3em; }
