sul mio sito http://www.scoutmorciano.it ho cambiato il database al quale si appoggia WordPress.
Ho solo cambiato: nome database, nome utente e password.
Tutte le tabelle e i dati sono identici (ho seguito le istruzioni qui http://www.wpitaly.it/wiki/Main/BackupDB per creare una duplicato del VECCHIO database e l’ho importato nel NUOVO.
Ovviamente ho anche aggiornato i seguenti campi di wp-config.php:
define(‘DB_NAME’, ‘XXX’);
define(‘DB_USER’, ‘XXX’);
define(‘DB_PASSWORD’, ‘XXX’);
inserendo quelli del nuovo database.
Il sito dopo l’aggiornamento funziona perfettamente, ma quando provo a fare il login nel pannello amministrativo appeno clicco sul tasto “collegati” viene caricata una pagina bianca.
Se provo a ricaricare il vecchio wp-config.php funziona tutto perfettamente.
Quale può essere il problema? in fondo si tratta di una modifica minima e veramente semplice.

Sarebbe a dire che hai fatto un backup del file wp-config.php in locale, poi ne hai fatto una copia per aggiornare i tre campi; e quale editor di testi è stato utilizzato per le suddette modifiche al file wp-config.php?

si, ho scaricato in locale una copia di wp-config.php, l’ho modificato con notepad e l’ho messo sul sito (sovrascrivendo quello precedente)

Allora il problema starà in quel file editato con qualche errore e/o spazi bianchi

e come posso fare a indentificare il problema nel file? con cosa lo avrei dovut editare?

La certezza che sia proprio il file wp-config.php non possiamo averla; però proverei a ricrearne uno nuovo e partendo dal wp-config-sample.php (usando notepad come editor). Gli altri file config tienili da parte come backup sin quando il problema non è risolto.
Altra cosa, non indichi il tuo servizio di host.. Nel caso fosse aruba o tophost proverei, dall’apposito pannello, a ripristinare i permessi di file e cartelle.

l’hosting è misterdomain, comunque usando xampp mi sono reinsallato in locale wordpress e copiano il wp-config.php ottenuto in locale ha funzionato tuttio.

Misteri dei server o dei permalink (provato a rigenerarli?).. Nei siti che curo con WordPress la url per la pagina di login che sia cosଠ/wp-login oppure cosଠ/wp-login.php? non fa alcuna differenza ed alla pagina ci arrivo comunque.
Nella tua installazione pare gli aggrada soltanto /wp-login.php? (che funziona), mentre l’altra porta ad una pagina 404 Not Found del server.
