ciao a tutti, la mia esigenza è quella di unire due blog realizzati con wordpress.
La situazione è questa:
“blog personale” su tophost e realizzato con wordpress
“blog tematico” su aruba e realizzato con wordpress con scadenza annuale a maggio 2012
Quello che vorrei fare:
– spostare tutti gli articoli, commenti, immagini ecc. ecc. dal “blog tematico” al “blog personale”
– a spostamento effettuato vorrei reindirizzare tutti i visitatori del “blog tematico” ai post(o alle pagine) equivalenti appena spostati in “blog personale”, in questo modo mi auguro di perdere il minor numero di visite e di visibilità possibile(ho 5 mesi di tempo per reindirizzare) prima di chiudere definitivamente il “blog tematico”
-fatto questo, che è la cosa che mi preoccupa di più, vorrei sul nuovo “blog unico”(l’unione dei 2 che prima era quello personale) fare in modo di suddividerlo in 2 “sottoblog”(personale e tematico). Con le mie conoscenze attuali l’unico modo che mi viene in mente è quello di creare 2 categorie e assegnarle agli articoli in base all’appartenenza al blog personale o a quello tematico, ma cosଠfacendo mi precluderei la possibilità di creare delle categorie all’interno dei 2 blog. C’è un modo migliore?
Spero di essermi spiegato e di ricevere i vostri suggerimenti

Metti una seconda installazione di WP sul sito e esporti ed importi il db (se i due blog han tabelle identiche come prefisso occorrerà un po’ di lavoro di sql) se li mischi (possibile anche) poi il redirect saranno un incubo, se poi hai una separazione logica degli articoli meglio fare due blog. Tanto la loro gestione sarà .. come dire separata.

cosa devo fare di preciso per installare una seconda volta wordpress? come devo fare?
le tabelle hanno lo stesso prefisso, e non conosco SQL ma mi ci posso mettere d’impegno se mi dai qualche dritta
Ma il blog poi come si presenterebbe? cioè, nella home cosa troverei?

Due installazioni di WordPress in un webserver? La vedo dura, raddoppia l’utilizzo di memoria e di conseguenza gli errori 500; sarai quindi costretto a passare ad un profilo superiore.
Esiste un WordPress “modificato” per poter avere più domini sullo stesso CMS; ma lo sconsiglio poiché si diverrebbe “dipendenti” dell’unico programmatore che lo sviluppa e supporta; e se questo un giorno decidesse di non proseguire con il lavoro sarebbe un vero massacro.
Se il blog tematico su aruba non ha molte pagine io opterei per fare una specifica categoria nel blog personale ed importerei i contenuti dall’altro (o viceversa).
Ovviamente procederei col lavoro fatto interamente in locale, per poi sostituire il database su tophost con il nuovo ed aggiornando le varie cartelle dei contenuti.
In pratica si partirebbe da zero (in locale) importando entrambi i blog in una nuova installazione; quando tutto funziona allora si sposta su tophost, mentre su aruba utilizzi un apposito redirect per tutte le url ai contenuti del nuovo sito.

Perchè due installazioni di WP dovrebbero occupare più memoria di una singola che serve lo stesso numero di pagine? Il secondo è un banale sotodominio…

vi ringrazio per linterrssamento, ma io non sono cosଠ“avanti” come voi, quindi oltre al “cosa” fare avrei bisogno di sapere “come” farlo
il blog con meno articoli è quello personale, mentre quello tematico ne avrà circa 500, ma è quello personale che voglio mantenere perché è quello con il nome del dominio che vorrei mantenere

Una installazione di wp gira con meno di 15M di memoria e per due siamo a circa 30; poi ci saranno dei plugin e si arriva a oltre 20-25M ognuna, ma se di plugin ne utilizza come me una quarantina (e penso sia cosଠalmeno per il blog principale) allora saremmo a 43M uno e 20-25M l’altro.. Tophost non credo che utilizzi xcache nel PHP, che ridurrebbe di molto.. Quindi, a mio avviso, ci starebbe un po’ stretto su un host che a malapena fornisce 64M.
Come fare è difficile da spiegare in un forum e con un post, ci sarebbe da scriverne un libro; però in Rete con san google non è difficile trovare documentazione in inglese o probabilmente anche in lingua italiana.
Tra le due ovviamente la strada suggerita da Steve è molto meno complessa dell’altra a cui io accennavo.

La soluzione più elegante e funzionale è quella di abilitare la gestione multisito
creare un secondo blog nella stessa installazione
esportare i contenuti dal vecchio blog e importarli nel nuovo.
Se l’hosting ti consente di avere la gestione a sottodominio potrai avere
http://www.mioblog.it blog personale
sottodomiono.mioblog.it tematico
diversamente puoi utilizzare la gestione a sotto cartelle.
L’export / inport di wordpress e’ facilmente realizzabile andando nel menu sotto strumenti.

rieccomi qui, mi sembra di essere riuscito “nell’impresa”, vi scrivo i passaggi fatti, magari ditemi se potrebbero creare problemi che per adesso non ho notato:
– ho esportato in xml tutti gli articoli e le pagine del “blog tematico”
– con un editor ho sostituito all’interno del file tutti i “www.blogtematico.com” con “www.blogpersonale.it”
– dal blog personale ho importato il file xml
– ho sistemato le categorie, creando due categorie padre che divideranno in 2(personale e tematico) il blog
– ho modificato il file .htaccess del blog tematico inserendo questa stringa Redirect 301 / http://www.blogpersonale.it
tutto funziona e viene reindirizzato in modo corretto, naturalmente la struttura dei link dei due blog era identica
Fino a qui tutto bene, ma ora vorrei aggiungere una “finezza” e qui torno a chiedervi aiuto
quando qualcuno cerca di accedere al link http://www.blogtematico.com/post_numero_1 viene in modo corretto reindirizzato a http://www.blogpersonale.it/post_numero_1 ma di fatto non “capisce il perchè”, io vorrei inserire una pagina intermedia in cui spiego che i 2 blog si sono uniti, e in automatico dopo 5 secondi fare aprire la pagina corretta a cui stava puntando il reindirizzamento, magari con la classica scritta “se non vieni indirizzato entro 5 secondi clicca qui…”

Sul sito vecchio dovresti avere un script (che non ha nulla a che fare con WP che prende la url la usa per un redirect a tempo usando un po’ di javascript inserito in una pagina di spiegazione.. NON ha nulla a che fare con WP. visto che reindirizzi tutto on l’htaccess che interviene prima di rendere qualsiasi pagina..

continuo con questo post, ho un’altra richiesta, probabilmente banale, ma vorrei una conferma.
Il mio “vecchio” blog tematico ad oggi viene correttamente reindirizzato verso il mio blog personale, fino a qui, grazie anche ai vostri suggerimenti, è tutto ok.
Il dominio del mio blog tematico scade a maggio 2012, data in cui avevo intenzione di “lasciarlo spegnere”, ma mi sono accorto adesso che invece il database sql scade fra pochi giorni, a questo punto vi chiedo, se non rinnovo il database sql il redirect comunque continuerà a funzionare fino alla scadenza del dominio giusto?
