Ciao a tutti, ho un sito in wordpress 3.1.3 e vorrei aggiornarlo all’ultima versione di WordPress che è la 3.3 ma ho paura che potrebbero esserci dei problemi dato che in passato dopo un aggiornamento il mio sito non si vedeva più.
Sono stati riscontrati problemi per l’aggiornamento tra queste 2 versioni (3.1.3 –> 3.3)?
Mi consigliate di fare quello automatico o manuale?
Utilizzo aruba linux come hosting.

Un’altra domanda: ma l’aggiornamento va a modificare anche il database o soltanto i file?

Segui le indicazioni di aruba a livello di permessi e nessun problema.. ovviamente ogni aggiornamento significativo porta modifiche alla versione del DB ergo.. si modifica il db… come detto nei nostri articoli di presentazione della versione.. backup backup e ancora backup dei file in ftp e del database.. posto che un backup del db periodico settimanale minimo, dovrebbe essere normale pratica.

ho visto che esiste il plugin “wordpress database backup”, quant’è affidabile per i backup?
per quanto riguarda l’aggiornamento posso fare tranquillamente l’automatico o è meglio il manuale?
Se quanlcosa dovesse andare storto basta ricaricare tutti i files del backup e fare il dump del databese e torna tutto ok no?

1) Molto affidabile
2) Vanno bene tutti e due, per quello automatico devi solo preoccuparti di avere backup di file e database, e di disattivare i plugin e impostare il tema base, per quello manuale oltre a queste cose devi anche sapere come fare
3) Dipende cosa va storto, a volte basta rifare l’aggiornamento. Nella peggiore delle ipotesi, certo il backup salva.

Grazie a tutti per il supporto.
Ho fatto l’aggiornamento e, nonostante alla fine dell’aggiornamento mi sia apparso un “errore server interno”, sembra che il sito sia stato aggiornato e funzioni correttamente.
Lo lascio cosଠo conviene fare comunque qualcosa?

una domanda, io ho fatto tutto come da copione, mi dice di aggiornare il db, lo faccio.mi avvisa che è stato fatto con successo, spingo continue e mi rimanda all’oggiornamento del db le pagine si rimandano a vicenda senza uscirne.
il sito va in parte, ma non si può entrare nell admin ne fare altre operazioni, come mai?

Your server is running PHP version 4.4.9 but WordPress 3.3.1 requires at least 5.2.4.
Il che significa che non stai utilizzando il php 5.2.
Chiedi ad aruba come fare ad attivarlo.
