Il tema è localizzato in italiano
Cercando sul forum mi è stato spiegato che il file po contiene le stringhe e che, quando viene modificato, serve a produrre il file “compilato” mo.
Come mi è stato suggerito, ho scaricato poedit, con il quale ho fatto una sola modifica di prova.
Ho controllato che nelle preferenze fosse spuntato “compila automaticamente il file .mo al salvataggio”
Quando ho salvato, sono usciti gli errori che si possono vedere nell’immagine.

Pensavo che “4” e “45” fossero numeri di riga, ma questi valori non ci sono nell’elenco delle stringhe.
Ho chiesto ad un amico più esperto, che ha fatto in passato modifiche di traduzioni su altri temi, senza incontrare problemi, e anche lui ha riscontrato lo stesso errore.
Dove sbaglio?

PS: girando in cerca ho visto che ci sono altre 2 coppie di file .po .mo, e cioè
it_IT e
ms-it_IT.
sotto wp-content/languages, che immagino siano i file “generali” di word press. E’ cosà¬?
