Salve a tutti,
Prima di iniziare vi premetto che non so nulla di programmazione, nulla di nulla. Ad Ogni modo ho deciso di migrare il mio blog da iWeb (programma di editing di siti web Apple) a WordPress. iWeb era un ottimo strumento, ma terribilmente lento da impostare. Ho installato WordPress sul mio server, il mio spazio è “hostato” da “Hosting99”, il server dovrebbe essere Unix. Ho ovviamente cancellato la cartella in cui iWeb caricava via FTP il mio sito Web. Nonostante questo WordPress NON funziona, carica senza problemi il pannello impostazione, dove si possono creare pagine, articoli, e dove si gestiscono le impostazioni del blog e del tema. Sono persino riuscito ad importare i miei articoli presenti sul mio “vecchio” sito trami Feed RSS, li ho pubblicati (sto usando il tema standard) solo che non funzionano! Quando cerco di caricare un’articolo (ecco un link ad esempio: http://theappleyoucare.com/?p=49) mi da una pagina di errore 404. Riportando il seguente messaggio : “The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server” .
WordPress è situato in ” /public-html/Home ” ho preferito contenerlo in una cartella piuttosto che trovarmi tutti i suoi file sulla pagina principale.

Riuscite ad individuare qualcosa che non va? Vi Servono ulteriori informazioni? Potete aiutarmi?

Ciao, per visualizzare il tuo sito dovresti inserire l’indirizzo completo: http://theappleyoucare.com/Home/ perchè wordpress è installato nella sottocartella Home, e nella tua cartella principale non c’è un file index che fa il redirect all’installazione di wordpress. Se vuoi farlo andare mettendo http://theappleyoucare.com ti basta creare una pagina index.php e al suo interno ci metti:
<?php
define('WP_USE_THEMES', true);
require('./Home/wp-blog-header.php');
?>
poi la carichi nella cartella principale (/public-html)eccoti la guida completa: Guida

Ciao, io avevo il solito problema ma l’ho risolto giustamente caricando tutti i file all’interno della cartella public_html. Ho realizzato un sito con hosting99.it e all’inizio, non essendo molto attento avevo messo tutto nella “home” e non capivo dove stava l’errore. Mi sono rivolto allora all’assistenza e mi hanno indicato come fare ed ho capito che il mio era solo un errore di distrazione.
Adesso ho il sito web che funziona benissimo e carica molto rapidamente ogni pagina. Ma te come ti trovi con questo hosting?
