Il problema sorge quando decido di avere dei permalink customizzati, magari quello “data e nome post”, in pratica quando poi creo un articolo, e lo pubblico, il link ancorato alla pagina dell’articolo mi porta alla pagina d’errore 404 (pagina non trovata).
Spero di essere stato meno ermetico

Sono nuovo del mondo WordPress, e dei CMS in generale, solitamente scrivo tutto il codice da me….cosa devo aggiornare del file .htaccess?

Dando per scontato che tu sia su un server Apache con il modulo mod_rewrite attivato (vero?), dai un’occhiata migliore alla pagina Impostazioni Permalink.
Dopo che hai scelto la tua struttura e salvato, leggi sotto che:
Se il tuo file .htaccess fosse scrivibile potremmo aggiornarlo automaticamente, ma poiché non lo è queste sono le regole di mod_rewrite che si dovranno inserire nel file .htaccess manualmente. Fare clic su questo campo e premere CTRL + a per selezionarle tutte.

Bisogna aver pieno accesso sul server per gestire quel file, se il mod_rewrite non ce l’hai già attivo devi chiedere direttamente al tuo hosting di attivarlo
Può darsi tu l’abbia già , controlla prima nella tua pagina di configurazione PHP (in “Loaded Modules” dovresti vedere scritto mod_rewrite)
Il file di informazioni sul PHP installato di solito viene messo nella root ed è chiamato “info” o qualcosa del genere, e se cosଠfosse devi digitare l’indirizzo del tuo sito seguito da /info.php
