Noamweb l’ho scelto perchè qualcuno su un forum lo consigliava, ho chiamato due volte l’help desk per informazioni a mezz’ora di distanza e due diversi operatori mi hanno risposto dall’help desk sempre cortesi e competenti.
Ci ho installato WordPress seguendo questa ottima guida trovata su YouTube – ‪Come installare WordPress su server remoto‬â€.
In pratica, ho copiato nella cartella www di “www.miodominio.it” il file zip scaricato da wordpress, ho estratto i file e cancellato il file zip.
Ho poi creato un database con Mysql.
Ho incontrato un problema:
nel file wp- sample_config.php (che ho poi rinominato in wp-config.php):
ho inserito nome database in precedenza creato, password etc.
Quando sono andato ad inserire la posizione del database, che secondo il video avrei dovuto vedere dal wizard dell’installazione del database, mi sono reso conto che il wizard non aveva indicato questa informazione. O forse io non l’ho vista. Comunque, per analogia a quanto esposto nel video, ho inserito questo codice:
/** Hostname MySQL */
define(‘DB_HOST’, ‘mysql.noamweb.com’);
è corretto?
Temo di no, perchè quando poi, sempre seguendo le istruzioni del video, ho digitato questo url
http://www.miodominio.it/wp-admin/install.php
è uscito questo errore:

Errore nello stabilire una connessione al database
Ciò significa che le informazioni sul nome utente o sulla password presenti nel file wp-config.php non sono corrette o che non è possibile contattare il server del database a mysql.noamweb.com. Il che potrebbe voler dire che il database server del fornitore di hosting non è attivo.
Si è sicuri di disporre del nome utente e della password corretti?
Si è sicuri di aver digitato correttamente il nome dell’host?
Si è sicuri che il server del database sia funzionante?
Nel caso non si abbia certezza sul significato di questi termini è opportuno contattare il proprio host. Se si ha bisogno di ulteriore aiuto è sempre possibile visitare il Forum di supporto italiano su WordPress.

Ho naturalmente controllato e ricontrollato nome e password…
Aggiungo, come da istruzioni trovate su questo forum:
La versione di WordPress che stai usando: 3.1.3 in italiano
Un link al tuo sito http://www.stefanodesanctis.it
Le azioni che causano il problema (Es. “Ogni volta che salvo un articolo ottengo un parse error”): vedi sopra
Le soluzioni che hai tentato e i siti che hai consultato per cercare la soluzione : ho ripristinato il codice di default per /** Hostname MySQL */define(‘DB_HOST’.
Il tipo di server: Linux con pannello Cpanel
Le versioni di PHP eMySQL installate sul server : PHP 5 e MySQL 5
che cosa devo correggere?

boh i parametri di connessione al DB li sai tu e il tuo hosting chiedi a lui noi non possiamo sapere tutti i parametri di tutti provider… apri un ticket col tuo fornitore
