Buonasera a tutti,
sono un neo registrato, anche se praticamente ogni giorno consulto wpitaly.it.
Ovviamente il mio nome utente è solo un nick, tra l’altro legato al piccolo sito di cui sono titolare.
Ho riscontrato difficoltà nel tentativo di aggiornare WP dalla versione 2.9.2 alla 3.0.
In modalità automatica, sembra funzionare tutto nel momento in cui, con Filezilla, modifico i codici permessi (il sito è su Aruba, con i noti problemi tra 644 e 755). Solamente, non posso più effettuare il login in …/wp-login.php, in quanto mi dà errore nella visualizzazione di …./wp-admin/.
Ho provato in manuale, come ho sempre fatto; in questo caso riesco ad entrare, tutto sembra perfetto, ma riesco a visualizzare solamente la home page: per tutte le altre pagine mi dà errore.
Ho pensato che potrebbe essere un problema legato al tema, all’origine un modernpaper-10 fortemente modificato.
Qualcuno ha suggerimenti?
Mi chiedevo inoltre: eventualmente, ferma restando la convenienza ad aggiornare sempre per eliminare bug o vulnerabilità (anche se, per la verità , il sito non ha alcun fine commerciale, tutt’altro), restare con la versione 2.9.2 (perfettamente funzionante) potrebbe in futuro creare problemi? Mi spiego meglio, non tanto per eventuali vulnerabilità , quanto per la possibilità che, in un futuro, siti realizzati con questa versione possano non essere visibili sul web o qualcos’altro del genere?

Ho aggiornato poc’anzi su aruba
Dava errore 500, fixato riparando i permessi dal pannello di controllo.
Cercando le cause ho trovato questo fix:
define('FS_CHMOD_FILE',0755);
define('FS_CHMOD_DIR',0755);
da mettere nel wp-config
Adesso è tornato tutto regolare

Perfetto!
Ho appena rieseguito un aggiornamento manuale, dopo aver preparato in locale tutto il materiale, la cartella wp-content con tema utilizzato e allegati vari, nonchè dopo aver modificato wp-config come da Voi indicato.
Pare che funzioni tutto a meraviglia! Grazie
Un’altra curiosità , o dubbio se preferite:
scaricando con Filezilla tutti i dati dal server al pc (giusto per avere sempre una copia “di scorta”), ho notato che non esiste più la cartella “cgi-bin” che ritrovavo ancora con WP 2.9.2.
Avrete capito che non sono un grande esperto (mi limito a tenere aggiornato un sito realizzato all’origine non da me), ma Vi chiedo: è normale o c’è da preoccuparsi?

la cgi.bin NON è una cartella di wordpress, probabilmente è una cartella di aruba.

Grazie.
Anche oggi ho appena verificato che il sito funziona perfettamente e posso accedervi da …/wp-login.php per le eventuali modifiche alle pagine.
Problema definitivamente risolto …!!!
