Salve, non so esattamente a cosa sia dovuto questo problema, ma noto che il mio blog risulta molto lento nei caricamenti, soprattutto della Home Page. A cosa può essere dovuto? ai server Aruba, al tema o ai plugin?

Probabilmente tema e plugin. Su google trovi numerosi consigli e suggerimenti per ottimizzare il tuo blog (tipo questi). In generale installa una cache e rimuovi tutti i plugins di cui puoi fare a meno. Ad esempio quelle barre di stato che si rifanno a risorse esterne, oltre ad essere fastidiose all’inverosimile, contribuiscono a rendere tutto più lento.

Grazie Deeproad per la tua pronta risposta. Volevo solo chiederti, le barre di stato che intendi tu sono tipo quella che mostra quante visite ha ricevuto il blog, il browser e l’OS più utilizzati, ecc?

Se parlavi del sito che hai linkato nel nick, ma presumo di si dato che si apre lentamente, mi riferisco alla barra Wibiya. Ad ogni modo ora preoccupati di ottimizzare il blog rimuovendo il superfluo e installando una cache. Se poi non sarai ancora soddisfatto provvederai ad ulteriori modifiche.

Direi in principal modo a chi lo ha creato!
Dovresti prima di tutto ottimizzare molte cose, come già ti hanno suggerito e, se aruba lo supporta, io finirei l’ottimizzazione con un plugin di cache completo tipo WP super cache oppure W3 total cache o altri simili.. E la bicicletta si trasforma in missile..

Ok per ora ho seguito il link di Deeproad e ho installato WP-Super-Cache. Una cosa però: tempo fa ho provato un plugin di cache ma ho riscontrato delle difficoltà quando pubbicavo nuovo materiale. Ora ho visto che in SuperCache c’è un’apposita voce nelle impostazioni che permette di svuotare la cache e rigenerarla qualora vengano pubblicate nuove pagine e post, ma per i commenti? io uso Disqus per i commenti, vengono inseriti nella cache o vengono ignorati siccome provengono da un elemento esterno?

Solitamente il compromesso giusto è non cachare le pagine per gli utenti loggati (altra opzione di supercache) un tempo di 15 20 minuti massimo per la cache delle singole pagine è un buon compromesso… invalidare la cache ad ogni pubblicazione invece non è una buona idea.. se il sito è ed alto traffico..

ma se pubblico un articolo senza ricaricare la cache esso verrà incluso nella cache esistente o non verrà visualizzato sino al rinnovo di essa?
Altra cosa è che non ho notato un particolare miglioramento.

La cache è sulle singole pagine ergo se metti un nuovo articolo l’articolo apparirà laprima volta e verrà messo in cache… sonole pagine degli archivi mensili per categoria e tag che non mostreranno il nuovo articolo sino alla loro scadenza…

Utilizzi anche tools come page speed e firebug in pannello net per la verifica delle richieste e le loro rispettive durate .
