Ciao a tutti,
ieri ho fatto il mio primo backup database del mio Wp; senza utilizzare plugin direttamente da phpmyadmin mi sono backuppato tutte le tabelle del database.
Poi cancellandole, ho proceduto al restore importando il file di backup salvato.
Solo che appena riaperto il sito, mi appare la finestra di installazione di WP, ho sbagliato qualcosa io?
Già che sono in tema chiedo anche, facendo il backup in questo modo, di fatto salvo tutto del blog, dagli articoli ai commenti etc etc?

Cambiao nome al DB cambiato nome alle tabelle cosa?

In una guida avevo letto che dopo un backup si procede con eliminare le tabelle e poi si importa il file di backup.
Quindi non devo fare questo passaggio? Backup e poi lascio tutto com’è?!
Le tabelle le elimino solo in caso di problemi come infezione del blog o cose del genere.

I backup si testano in locale o in un’installazione clone e.. invisibile (la seconda è possibile soltanto se l’host lo permette).
E quale guida avresti letto con suggerimenti cosଠperspicaci, rulette russa su wp?!
Forse hai confuso il semplice backup con un ripristino del db e, probabilmente, la guida non spiega che prima di fare una cosa del genere bisogna esser certi che il bck funzioni!

Ok prendiamo per buono che la guida in questione o era robaccia oppure io ho confuso.
Ripartiamo da zero;
voglio fare il backup periodico del blog, ma non vorrei utilizzare plugin, manualmente cosa devo fare?
Esportare le tabelle del Database non è sufficiente?

Esportare le tabelle del Database non è sufficiente?
Dal tuo “phpMyAdmin” (in genere è cosà¬) selezioni il database in questione e poi nella nuova finestra click sulla voce ‘Esporta‘ in alto – ‘Seleziona‘ tutte le tabelle, segno di spunta su ‘SQL‘ (in genere è cosà¬) – poi ‘Salva con Nome‘ – compresso – non compresso/ click su ‘Esegui’ e salvi il backup dove ti pare – operazione che porta via poco tempo a seconda del peso del DB – avrai ottenuto cosଠun file.zip/gzip del tuo DB mysql

..E da questo punto ci si raccomanda di leggere la guida, nel wiki di questo sito, poiché mancano dei passi molto importanti.

Ok bene mi leggo tutto e terrò in considerazioni i vostri spunti.
Visto che siamo in tema, vorrei chiedervi anche questo; ho letto che le tabelle con denominazione wp-xxx non sono molto raccomandate da un punto di vista di sicurezza per il blog, sarebbe bene rinominarle….è vero?
