Ciao a tutti.
Ho scaricato ieri la versione 2 di wordpress e ho tentato di installarla.
Dopo aver caricato tutti i file mi sono collegato a url.it/wp-admin/install.php ma niente… la pagina rimane bianca. A questo punto sono andato a vedere i log del php:
PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 368640 bytes) in…
il bello è che ho provato a installare il tutto su altro dominio e non mi da alcun errore, parte normalmente l’installazione!
Come mai una cosa del genere?

Problema risolto, ho modificato semplicemente la quantita di memoria concessa a php dal server!

un consiglio ormai postumo: quando si ottengono errori in generale, inserendo il messaggio di errore su google molto spesso si ottengono buoni risultati.
Questo è un errore abbastanza comune di PHP, anche se non dovrebbe verificarsi durante l’installazione di WP.

Ciao Snark, ho lo stesso problema postando / modificandoi i post, nonostante sembra che nel blog tutto funzioni correttamente. Mi dici come hai modificato i settaggi della memoria php?

la soluzione è quella di modificare il memory limit in php.ini cosa che però è molto difficile che il tuo provider faccia.
Quindi la soluzione unica è quella di cambiare provider scegliendone uno che abbia nel php.ini un memory limit maggiore
