Salve a tutti
il mio dilemma è il seguente: ho la pagina archivio che raccoglie tutte gli articoli della categoria Università
nel mio sito ho creato nel menu un link alla pagina archivio università
ora il mio obiettivo è modificare questa pagina, creare una sorta di tema specifico
in particolare vorrei inserire un immagine, una descrizione, alcuni link e poi il loop dell’archivio….
se po fa una cosa del genere???
ho fatto dei tentativi…ma nn c sono riuscito
ad esempio quanto spiegato qui:

che mi sapete dire???

Ciao Murack.
Se ho capito bene il tuo problema non è il raccogliere tutti il materiale che ti serve in una certa pagina, ma avere un template modificato da te in questa pagina, giusto?
Prima di passare alla spiegazione.. quanto sai di wordpress? E di html? E di php?

a me nn interessa piu di tanto modificare il template degli archivi in generale
mi interessa creare una pagina specifica, con un certo contenuto che io creo (quello che ho scritto sopra) e poi sotto il loop degli articoli appartenenti alla categoria università
avevo pensato di utilizzare la tecnica che io tempo fa utilizzai per far apparire nella homepage gli articoli solo di una o piu specifiche categorie, ma nn funziona
secondo me il motivo è il particolare codice php del mio tema, ovvero (codice da index.php):
<?php
$wp_query = $tmp_query;
if (have_posts()) :
while (have_posts()) : the_post();
$arc_day = get_the_time(‘d’);
$arc_month = get_the_time(‘m’);
$arc_year = get_the_time(‘Y’);
?>
solo che seguendo le istruzioni di quel tutorial, mi dava errore:
Fatal error: Call to a member function have_posts() on a non-object
allora ho spezzettato il codice :

?>
<?php
while (have_posts()) : the_post();
$arc_day = get_the_time(‘d’);
$arc_month = get_the_time(‘m’);

cosi aveva diciamo….funzionato…solo che c’era qualcosa che nn andava:
non potevo inserire il contenuto che volevo io all’inizio della pagina
non funzionava la paginazione dell’archivio
ed eccomi qui… non sono esperto di php, ma bene o male me la cavicchio….

sto facendo delle prove: in sostanza sto modificando manualmente il php del template università …..
credo che questa sia la direzione giusta…..
sto inserendo dei div manualmente, all’interno inserisco immagini e paragrafi….
mi sa che forse è la via piu facile, anche se devo stare attento a rispettare il css…

Mi sembra che la nuova versione di WordPress, la 2.9, dovrebbe aiutarti molto nel fare quello che te vorresti. Perciò, se non è una cosa urgente, dovrebbe (dovrebbe) essere questioni di giorni per il rilascio.
